Prison Artwork Streaming brings artwork created by incarcerated artists into organizations and schools through rotating digital collections.
Each collection offers an opportunity to experience the artwork while learning more about the artists, their stories, and the meaning behind their work when that information is available and the artist has agreed to share it.
By bringing prison artwork into new spaces, we can help more people experience the work, discover the individuals behind it, and start conversations that might not otherwise happen.
A single piece of artwork can have a powerful impact, but its reach is often limited.
When prison artwork is purchased, it may be displayed in a private space where relatively few people have the opportunity to experience it. Exhibitions can introduce the work to larger audiences, but only for a limited time and place.
Prison Artwork Streaming creates another possibility.
By digitally displaying collections in organizations, schools, and events, the same artwork can reach more people and create more opportunities for incarcerated artists and their work to be seen.
Where information is available and the artist has agreed to share it, streaming also gives audiences an opportunity to learn about the person behind the artwork, their experiences, and what creating art means to them.
Our goal is not simply to display prison artwork. It is to use art to open conversations, challenge perceptions, and create greater understanding of the people behind the work.
Prison Artwork Streaming is a digital display service that allows participating organizations and schools to continuously showcase rotating collections of artwork created by incarcerated artists.
Artwork appears on a screen for a period of time before transitioning to the next piece, creating an evolving digital art display within your space.
Subscribers receive a collection of approximately 10–12 pieces of artwork each month.

Not every artwork will include artist information. Some artists may prefer not to be identified, while other pieces have been donated without accompanying information. We respect the wishes of each artist and share only the information available and appropriate to share.
Your organization’s logo can also appear alongside Impartial’s logo, reflecting the partnership that makes the presentation possible.
